Welcome to Velaikaran. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Velaikaran website, Customer App, Driver App, and related laundry and delivery services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Services.
Velaikaran provides laundry-related services, including laundry cleaning, pickup, delivery, order management, and related customer support services.
Services available to customers may vary depending on location, service availability, and operational conditions.
To use certain features of our Services, you may be required to create an account.
You agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information.
Provide a valid name and contact number.
Provide an accurate pickup and delivery address.
Keep your account credentials confidential.
Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
You are responsible for activities performed through your account.
Velaikaran may suspend or terminate an account if we reasonably believe that the account is being misused, fraudulent, or used in violation of these Terms.
When placing a laundry order, you are responsible for providing accurate information, including:
Name
Phone number
Pickup address
Delivery address
Required laundry services
Other information necessary to complete the order
The pickup and delivery address must be entered by the customer.
Velaikaran does not use GPS or real-time location tracking to determine the customer's address or driver's location.
An order is subject to acceptance and service availability.
Customers are responsible for providing a correct and accessible pickup and delivery address and a valid contact number.
Our delivery personnel may contact the customer using the phone number provided with the order.
Delivery times may vary due to:
Order volume
Traffic and road conditions
Weather
Operational circumstances
Customer availability
Incorrect or incomplete address information
Other circumstances outside our reasonable control
A customer may be required to be available at the provided address or provide appropriate instructions for pickup or delivery.
If the customer is unavailable or the address cannot reasonably be located or accessed, an additional delivery attempt or applicable charges may apply.
Customers must provide accurate information about items submitted for cleaning.
Customers should inform Velaikaran of any special cleaning requirements, delicate materials, stains, existing damage, or other relevant conditions before processing where possible.
Some stains, marks, discoloration, damage, or odors may not be completely removable through normal cleaning processes.
Velaikaran will use reasonable care when handling garments and items but cannot guarantee that every stain, mark, or condition will be completely removed.
Customers are responsible for informing Velaikaran about pre-existing damage or special conditions of garments before processing.
Where appropriate, Velaikaran may document the condition of items through photographs or item verification.
Velaikaran is not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, color fading, shrinkage, fabric weakness, or damage resulting from the manufacturer's care instructions or the inherent characteristics of a garment.
Customers must not submit items that are illegal, dangerous, hazardous, contaminated, or otherwise unsuitable for normal laundry processing.
This may include items containing:
Flammable materials
Explosive materials
Hazardous chemicals
Biohazardous substances
Sharp or dangerous objects
Illegal substances
Other materials that may pose a risk to people, property, equipment, or the environment
Velaikaran may refuse to process any item that it reasonably considers unsafe or unsuitable for the Services.
Prices for Services will be displayed or communicated to the customer through the applicable ordering process.
The customer is responsible for paying the applicable charges for the selected Services.
Payment may be made using the payment methods made available by Velaikaran or its payment service providers.
Prices may change from time to time. Any applicable price presented at the time of placing an order will generally apply to that order, subject to corrections or additional charges that may reasonably arise from the actual services provided.
Additional charges may apply where reasonably necessary, including for:
Additional services requested by the customer
Special handling
Additional delivery attempts
Incorrect or incomplete address information
Services requested after the original order
Other charges communicated to or agreed with the customer
Where reasonably possible, we will inform the customer before applying additional charges.
Customers may request cancellation of an order before the order has progressed to a stage where cancellation is no longer reasonably possible.
Refund eligibility may depend on:
The stage of the order
Whether pickup has occurred
Whether cleaning or processing has started
Services already performed
Applicable payment processing conditions
Where a refund is approved, it will be processed using the applicable payment method or another reasonable method.
Any specific cancellation or refund conditions communicated during the ordering process will also apply.
Velaikaran takes reasonable care when handling customer items.
If an item is reported as lost or damaged, the customer should contact Velaikaran as soon as reasonably possible after receiving the order.
We may investigate the matter using available order records, item verification information, photographs, and other relevant information.
Any compensation or resolution will be determined based on the circumstances of the case and applicable law.
Velaikaran is not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions, normal wear and tear, incorrect care labels, inherent fabric characteristics, or conditions that could not reasonably have been identified before processing.
Customers agree to:
Provide accurate information.
Provide a valid phone number.
Provide a correct pickup and delivery address.
Ensure that submitted items are suitable for laundry processing.
Remove personal belongings from garments before handing them over.
Make required payments on time.
Cooperate with pickup and delivery arrangements.
Use the Services lawfully and responsibly.
Velaikaran is not responsible for personal belongings accidentally left inside garments or packages.
The Velaikaran Driver App is intended for authorized Velaikaran driver partners.
Driver partners must:
Use their own authorized account.
Keep login credentials secure.
Handle customer information confidentially.
Use customer information only for assigned orders.
Follow pickup and delivery instructions.
Update order status accurately.
Handle customer items with reasonable care.
Provide accurate information through the Driver App.
Not misuse customer information or order details.
Driver partners must not use customer information for personal, promotional, or unrelated purposes.
For the purpose of completing an assigned order, Velaikaran may provide a driver with information such as:
Customer name
Customer phone number
Customer-entered pickup address
Customer-entered delivery address
Order details
This information is provided only to the extent reasonably necessary to complete the assigned delivery or service.
Velaikaran does not require or use GPS or real-time device location tracking for its Customer App or Driver App.
Delivery operations are based on the pickup and delivery information entered by the customer.
You agree not to:
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
Interfere with the operation of our website or applications.
Upload malicious software or harmful content.
Use the Services for fraudulent or illegal purposes.
Misrepresent your identity.
Access another user's account without authorization.
Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or misuse our applications or systems except where permitted by applicable law.
We may restrict or suspend access to the Services if these Terms are violated.
The Velaikaran name, logo, website, application, content, design, software, graphics, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Velaikaran unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit our intellectual property without prior written permission, except where permitted by applicable law.
Our Services may use third-party services such as payment providers, hosting providers, notification services, maps or other technology services.
Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
Velaikaran is not responsible for services that are independently operated by third parties.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep our Services available and operational.
However, we do not guarantee that the website, applications, or Services will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or free from technical problems.
Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, network problems, operational circumstances, or events outside our reasonable control.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Velaikaran will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of our Services.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Velaikaran will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform Services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, traffic disruptions, government actions, strikes, network failures, technical failures, or other unforeseen events.
Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.

We may suspend or terminate access to an account or Services where reasonably necessary, including when:

Fraudulent activity is suspected.
The Services are misused.

You may also request deletion of your account subject to applicable legal and business record-retention requirements.

Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of India.
Any disputes arising from or relating to the Services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in India, subject to applicable law.
